Data Dash exists because there's a real gap in the market between the big consulting firms and what most growing businesses actually need. A $50M company doesn't need a six-month McKinsey engagement to know which marketing channels are working. They need a great dashboard, in two weeks, that answers the questions keeping leadership up at night.

That's the work we do — and we do it well because we've done it before, at scale, inside the kind of companies that hire us. Every engagement is led by senior practitioners with deep technical expertise and an obsession with making analytics actually useful.

No bait-and-switch where you meet the principal in the sales call and get handed off to junior staff for delivery. The senior consultant you meet is the senior consultant building your dashboards.

The goal isn't more dashboards. The goal is better decisions. Every line of code we write is in service of someone making a smarter call than they would have without us.

Built on a decade of enterprise analytics work.

The kind of experience that translates directly to your business.

Before founding Data Dash, our principal spent years building analytics inside Fortune 500 organizations and advising venture-backed startups. That means seeing how data actually flows through real businesses — the messy parts, the political parts, the parts where the right dashboard prevents a $500K mistake.

We bring that perspective to every client engagement. You don't need to teach us what a P&L is or why retention matters. We come in already speaking your language, focused on getting you answers as fast as possible.

And because Data Dash is intentionally a focused practice, when you hire us, you're working directly with senior expertise — not a junior consultant relaying questions back to a senior partner you'll never speak to again after the kickoff call.

Core capabilities

  • Tableau (Desktop & Server)
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Google Looker & Looker Studio
  • SQL across major data warehouses
  • Python for analysis & ML
  • dbt & modern data stack
  • Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
  • AI / LLM integration for insights

Talent without geographic borders.

Data Dash operates as a distributed practice, drawing on talent across multiple time zones. The result: faster turnaround, broader perspective, and access to the best expertise regardless of where it lives.

Multi-Region Coverage

With practitioners across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific time zones, we can move work forward around the clock when projects demand fast delivery.

Diverse Expertise

Our distributed model means we tap specialists with deep experience in specific industries, BI tools, and analytics methodologies — matching the right expert to your project, not whoever happens to be on the bench.

Built for Remote Collaboration

Distributed by design from day one. Async communication, cloud-native deliverables, recorded walkthroughs, and weekly previews mean your time zone doesn't matter — only that we deliver.

Working side-by-side with your team — not over them.

Most analytics consultants disappear into a back room and resurface weeks later with a 40-page deck. We don't. From day one we're in your tools, on your calls, and asking your team the questions only they can answer.

The result is dashboards that reflect how your business actually runs — and a team that owns them long after we're gone.

Hands-on collaboration

How we approach every engagement.

These aren't marketing words — they're the operating principles we apply to every project. We turn down clients who don't share them.

i.

Speed is a feature, not a sacrifice.

A dashboard delivered in 6 months is one your business has already moved past. We move in weeks because the cost of slow is higher than the cost of imperfect.

ii.

Dashboards nobody uses are worse than no dashboards.

Bad analytics don't just waste money — they erode trust in data across the organization. We'd rather build one dashboard your team checks daily than ten that gather dust.

iii.

Numbers without context are noise.

"Revenue is up 12%" is information. "Revenue is up 12%, driven by your East region — but margin is compressing because of the discount strategy" is insight. We always deliver the second.

iv.

The best consultants make themselves obsolete.

Our goal is to leave you self-sufficient. We document everything, train your team, and aim for engagements that end naturally — not retainers that quietly never stop.

v.

AI is a tool, not a strategy.

We use AI where it actually adds value — forecasting, anomaly detection, natural language querying. We don't bolt it onto every project to look modern.

vi.

Honest disagreement beats polite agreement.

If we think your KPI doesn't measure what you think it measures, we say so. If your data isn't ready for the dashboard you're asking for, we tell you. No yes-people.

Senior expertise without the overhead.

Our model is fundamentally different from traditional consulting firms. Here's what that means for you.

Big firms & offshore shops

Why most engagements drag on.

  • 3–6 month engagement minimum
  • Junior staff doing most of the work
  • Partner for sales, contractors for delivery
  • Layered project managers and account leads
  • $200–400/hour with bloated team sizes
  • Dashboards delivered, then you're alone
The Data Dash way

How we work, instead.

  • 2-week sprints with weekly previews
  • Senior practitioners leading every project
  • The person you meet is the person building
  • Direct, no-layers communication
  • Fixed-price engagements, no surprise bills
  • 90 days of post-launch support included

What everyone asks before working with us.

How long does a typical engagement take?

Our most common engagement is 2–4 weeks for a sprint project, 4–8 weeks for a full build, and ongoing for fractional analytics retainers. We start with a free discovery call to scope the work and give you a fixed timeline before any commitment.

What does it cost?

Sprint projects typically run $5K–$15K. Full builds range from $20K–$60K depending on scope. Fractional retainers start at $4K/month. We provide a fixed price upfront — no hourly billing, no surprises.

Do you work with my BI tool?

We build in Tableau, Power BI, and Looker — the three tools that cover roughly 90% of the BI market. If you're using something else (Sigma, Qlik, Metabase, etc.), reach out — we may still be a fit.

My data is messy. Is that a problem?

Almost every client comes to us with messy data. That's normal. The first week of any engagement is auditing and connecting your data sources, and we'll be honest if we find issues that need to be addressed before dashboards are useful.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes — happily. We sign NDAs before any discovery call where you'd be sharing sensitive information.

What happens after the project ends?

You get 90 days of free support after launch — bug fixes, small tweaks, and team questions. After that, you can either go fully self-sufficient with the documentation we leave behind, or transition to a fractional retainer for ongoing support.

Let's see if we're the right fit.

Free 30-minute discovery call. No pitch deck, no commitment. We'll listen, ask good questions, and tell you honestly whether we can help.
